Mmmmm chocolate!

In the Vandyke family we have a tradition that at Christmas Oma gives us a chocolate letter for our name. This year was the first time I received my 'E'. It was yummy! Mum and Dad had to help me eat it though- hopefully next Christmas I will eat it all. Thanks Oma!

Feeding Myself

Now that I am the big sister I have some new responsibilities. One of these is learning to use my spoon by myself. I did pretty well tonight at dinner- most of the food went in my mouth!

These two ladies are both called Helen. They helped Ava come into the world and all they wanted in return was a cup of tea!

I have a little sister!

Today at 1:25am my little sister Ava Catherine arrived into the world. She weighed in at 6lbs and 8oz. She is really little and very pretty. I think I like her although I am not totally sure yet.

Modelling Clay

Today I got to play with modelling clay for the first time. It was a lot of fun, I especially liked sticking things in it. Mum had to watch me the whole time to make sure I did not eat some- it looked delicious!

Getting ready for Christmas

Today Mum and I decorated the Christmas tree and the living room. I really liked the baubles and the silver star chain.

Mum and Dad just bought me some great soap crayons- I can decorate the tiles and get clean with them!

Meeting Evangelina

A little while ago Mum and Dad took me to Sheffield to meet Evangelina Briggs. We had a fun weekend and I got to run around in a sculpture park. It was great to meet her and I hope I get to see lots more of her in the future!

Cooking with Mum

Mum likes to make lots of yummy things for Dad and I to eat- when she is cooking them she often lets me sit on the kitchen worktop and watch. Here I am learning how to make shepherd's pie- yum!

Hanging with Mum

Mum is at home all the time now- apparently because she can't get her tummy through the office door. I like staying home with her, but we also go out. Today we went to the playground and then for a walk to a near by cafe for a cup of tea. I got lots of compliments on my new hat- thanks Oma- it keeps my ears nice and warm!

I am getting really good at building towers with my blocks. I am also good at knocking the towers down (just like Dad!)

Balamory

My favourite show on the Telly is Balamory. I love to wave to them when they say goodbye!

So sleepy

Sometimes after I have fallen asleep Mum and Dad check on me and I need a bum change. However this is not a problem as Mum can change me without waking me up at all!

Horton Park Children's Farm

Today Mum took me to visit a children's farm. It was great fun, I got to pet lots of different animals- I especially liked the goats. There was also lots of playgrounds- so I got to do a lot of climbing. We ended the day with a tractor ride. I am hoping Dad will take me back next Wednesday!

Watching the fireworks

My first Bonfire night

Last night we went see the firework display for Guy Fawke's night at the local park with Katy and Patrick. Mum and Dad were worried that I would be scared- but I wasn't- just sleepy as it was way past my bed-time!We wrapped up warm because it was very cold!

Cuddly toys

In my bedroom is a huge pile of cuddly toys. I never really paid them much attention, but in the last couple of weeks I have discovered they are actually loads of fun! Now I can't get enough of them!

Today we went into London to see the new slides at the tate. I was too small to go down and mum was too pregnant but dad got to go!
